The Issue Of Parenting No parent in his or her right mind actually sets out to become a bad parent. The first time you ever held your child in your arms – you don’t think to yourself, “I want my child to grow up to become a looser.” Unfortunately children do not come with an instruction manual. As a parent one of my favorite sayings is, “It takes a village to raise a child”. Although in most cases that saying is better said than done. With work, and the stress of paying bills sometimes our parenting skills may be placed on the back burner. This is something that I do not believe we as parents do intentionally. I am not an expert in the field of parenting by any stretch of the imagination. However I do share my success and failures and have learned from many others via the Internet. My reason for writing this article is to share a few parenting tips that may help you in your quest to be the best parent that you could be. Parenting Tip #1 While sitting at the table or on the floor coloring with your child ask them about their day. I guarantee you that you will be shocked at some of the responses that you get. Ask about a new game that they have been playing, or what happened on their favorite television show. Parenting Tip #2 Thanks to Verizon’s FIOS (broadband Television) educational programs are at your finger tips 24 hours a day. This is defiantly the future of television entertainment. My nephew loves coming over my house because he can watch he favorite show – “Thomas and Friends” at anytime. I hope that those two tips will bring you and your child closer together.
